Our next new customer is Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, in Auburn, Alabama. The college’s Department of Aerospace Engineering ordered two NOVASIM VR units for its newly established Extended Reality Flight Simulation and Control Lab, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Umberto Saetti. These NOVASIM VR units will be used in conjunction with full-body haptic suits provided by TESLASUIT, for which BRUNNER is the value-added reseller in Switzerland as well as on the NOVASIM VR/MR, to create deeply immersive flight simulations.
Dr. Saetti’s research focuses on modeling, simulation, order reduction, and control of high-order models of the coupled flight dynamics, aerodynamics, and aeroacoustics of aircraft, rotorcraft, and biologically-inspired flying vehicles. These models are used for studies involving immersive simulations that make use of Extended Reality (XR), human-machine interaction, synthesis of advanced flight control laws, and development of innovative pilot cueing methods.
BRUNNER is very proud that Auburn University chose our NOVASIM VR for their studies and future developments.
If you want to learn more about this new partnership and the application of NOVASIM VR, please contact us at sales@brunner-innovation.swiss. We will come back to you right away.
